- korenara — simply brimming with life. i love the stylistic choice of the windows ui and koen's voice in writing is lovely to read.
- lowverve — cool site with even cooler art. zane's library introduced me to a motherlode of amazing media, too!
- pluhm — i absolutely adore these kinds of sites. very interactive and innovative as a whole. such a creative mind.
- doctorarabelle — arabelle's site makes the maximalist in my heart very happy.
- better-left-unsaid — lilia's writing just speaks for itself. a simple yet authentic & personal site, it's very refreshing!
- philia995 — yet another inspiration, such eye-pleasing layouts n intriguing content!
- lovepoetry — incredible taste in music. i was influenced by her minimalistic approach to web design.

mdn web docs — my all-time favourite coding bible for html, css, and javascript.
w3schools — while i favour mdn web docs, you may find w3schools' tutorials incredibly helpful.
visual studio code — my coding editor. i use the live preview extension to preview my updates before uploading them to neocities.
stack overflow — 99.9% of the coding questions i have are already answered here. super duper useful.
dafont — wide variety of fonts. my personal favourite authors so far are dirt2 and juha korhonen. once i've found a font i like, i'll use transforter to generate @font-face files.
filegarden — file hosting. i don't recommend hosting your images externally..! i only ever use this to host files that are restricted for users without supporter, i.e. mp3s, videos, etc. (with the exception of images that may take up a lot of storage even after optimization.)

are.na — a creative research platform free of ads and algorithms. it accepts images, videos, PDFs, etc. think pinterest excluding its mass market appeal..?
boxd, internet archive — a shit ton of films that can be found on the internet archive. 1-387 & 383+. many more here.
libby — sign up with your library card to loan ebooks and audiobooks from your local library.

everynoise — despite being heavily spotify-oriented, i find this site helpful for discovering new artists/bands and genres in general.
soulseek — a peer-to-peer file sharing network, predominantly used for music.
nicotine+ — an alternative client for soulseek's network, has additional functionality.
rateyourmusic — pretty self-explanatory. i like to look through lists, they help me discover new artists.
musicbrainz — massive music database. with eac, i use it to pull accurate metadata when ripping cds.
